How do you future-proof a real estate portfolio? Aroundtown found part of the answer in data.

How can you future-proof a real estate portfolio by implementing the most energy-efficient improvements not just any improvements, but the ones that actually move the needle? That was the exact challenge facing AroundTown. As BREEAM Manager, Trumaine Padam-Sing is tasked with hitting ambitious targets: CO₂ reduction, Paris Proof ambitions, improving BREEAM, energy labels and WEII scores, and meeting strict demands from tenants, investors, and BACS regulations.

The obstacle

Years of relying on spreadsheets and high-level dashboards. Aroundtown could see its total energy consumption, but which improvements would have impact across a building or portfolio, and which would have minimal impact.

To solve this, AroundTown partnered with Healthy Workers. What started as a two-building pilot has since scaled to more than 10 office buildings across their portfolio.
